Looking Back at 2022

2022, what a year! This year brought about so many positive changes at Sullivan’s Metropolitan Grill. We grew closer to one another as coworkers and family, set goals that pushed us to greatness, and continued to learn how to best serve the Anderson community. 

To celebrate, join us in looking back at some of our best memories from 2022.

Menu Launch

While we’ve had a great year, our most exciting addition to Sullivan’s Metropolitan Grill has been the introduction of a seasonal menu! Our fall and winter menu launch included new appetizers and entrees full of seasonal warmth and spices. This launch allowed us to rotate out the staples that have been on our menu for years. In addition to our new dinner menu, we launched a seasonal cocktail list that perfectly pairs with the new menu items- a match made in heaven! 

We are thankful for the support that the Sullivan’s community has shown us through this transition- we truly couldn’t do it without the guests that we serve each and every day! Keep an eye out for new seasonal launches in 2023. 

Catering and Private Events

Our catering department has outdone themselves this year. In 2022, we hosted 525 catering and private events. You heard that right- 525! 

We have had the best year catering to weddings, private dinners, parties, corporate events, and so much more. In addition, Sullivan’s began offering wedding cake services to our 2022 brides. We know this year is a start of what is to come through our catering department! 

Holiday Buffets

We pride ourselves on our Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Thanksgiving holiday buffets. Met with smiling faces and a gorgeous buffet of food, Sullivan’s had the opportunity to serve 2,550 guests during these events! It was the best continuation of a tradition we have loved for many years!

Team Members  

To say that our Sullivan’s team outdid themselves this year is an understatement. Our team has taken the initiative to learn a new menu, expand their knowledge of fine dining service and food presentation, and grow in their interpersonal relationships with one another. We have welcomed many new members to our team and can genuinely say that we LOVE the people we get to work with. 

In 2022 Sullivan’s also began our mentoring program! Every week members of our management team meet with rising team members from our kitchen crew and serving team. They spend time learning about leadership and growing as mentors.

Specials

Get ready, because this number will shock you. In 2022 Sullivans offered roughly 700 lunch specials and 600 dinner specials! We also offered 56 weekly drink and wine specials and had roughly 30 featured beers on draft. These specials have allowed our chefs and bartenders to hone their skills and allow our guests to try something new each and every time they step in the building. 

New and Improved

In addition to these milestones, there have been several changes in our restaurant:

In December and January we reset the dining room floor with new tables and booths.

In February Sullivan's blog was started.

In March our new outdoor seating area was installed.

In May a new dessert case was introduced to increase our daily selections. 

In July we hosted a five course wine dinner.

In August our pastry department began offering wedding cakes to Sullivan’s brides.

In September we released a new wine menu with a plethora of new bottles. 

In October the Sullivan’s seasonal menu was launched. 

In 2022 Sullivan’s Metropolitan Grill received the Independent Mail Best of 2022 awards for Best Caterer/Catering Business, Best Dessert, and Best Business Lunch.
